is an All-inclusive PYOP "Paint Your Own Pottery" Contemporary Ceramic and Glass Studio. We also have a wide variety of children and adult art classes.
What is a All-inclusive Contemporary Ceramic Studio? Great Question!
At Blue Frog Arts here in Elberton Georgia, we don't charge paint fees or studio time fees for painting ceramics. You just come in pick out a piece of ceramic you like, a plate, bank, box, figurine or any of the many, many other items we have to choose from, sit down relax, we provide the paints, we provide the brushes. We have books and an idea area for inspiration. We even do the clean up! After you finish we dip and fire your work of art in our kiln and you come back the next week to pick it up.
We also have adult and children's art classes which depend upon community demand and teacher availability. Everything from general art classes in the fall for kids, to basic drawing and different painting classes for adults and teenagers.
Every class Blue Frog Arts offers has emphasis on
learning, fun and creativity.

NEWS and INFORMATION
Trick or Treat! No tricks all treats. Blue Frog Arts had over 933 trick or treaters friday night October 31st and that was just the kids!
With the Holloween night BFA kicked off our FREE DRAWING with lots of great prizes to be given away December 6th at 3:30pm. We are also making Saturday the 6th of December our Grand Opening. So come on in and sign up for a drawing. You do not have to be present to win!

New Sign! We now have a sign. So I guess we are official. We are very pleased and Skeeter's Designs did a great job!
Now Making Copies! Granite City Source which is published by Blue Frog Arts and contains our new schedule each month, is now offering to make copies for just .10cents each and only .30 cents for full color copies on plain paper. We can also make small stappled booklets for special occasions.
New Stuff! We will be going Monday to pick up alot of New Christmas orniments and such. Come By and see all our new things.

How to sign up for classes
Call 706-283-3933 to sign up for classes or to save your times and dates for parties or outings.
Blue Frog Arts does request that anyone interested in attending classes or workshops, please sign up at least 2 days in advance, 4 to 6 days in advance for Pyasnky and Quilling.
This will allow us to give the instructors adequate notice to insure we have enough supplies ready for your class.
But it never hurts to always call 706-283-3933 just in case, we may have everything and will be able to get you in at the last second,
but just remember when you call we late can't guarantee it.

Who started Blue Frog Arts
Blue Frog arts is located in beautiful Elberton Georgia across from lovely turn of the century antebellum homes and next door to the Public Library.
We are an older brick home with candlesticks on the shudders. In the 17th and 18th centuries people would advertise their occupations by having the shapes cut into the shutters for everyone to see. We don't sell candles but you can make your own candle holders and much much more.
Blue Frog Arts is owned and operated by Anne Scott Harvard who received a Fine Arts degree from Mercer University in Macon Georgia. She has always loved art and has been working in the art field one way or another for the past 30 years. When an opportunity presented itself early in 2008 because of a slowdown at work. Several people suggested that she give art lessons to kids, because of financial cutbacks, art classes in the lower grades in Elbert County were the first to go. With some research and a few more ideas she decided to take advantage of it and make a dream job come true. Back to top.
Anne Scott also saw a need for Family oriented activities and general art just for fun and relaxation. She took a chance on having a business that's fun, where individuals can come and be creative all day, doing ceramics, painting, drawing, playing in the clay, beads, glass fusing and whatever else seemed like a good course people might enjoy. (Anne Scott is always on the lookout for more fun courses and really good teachers and yes, she gets to take all of the classes too).
Blue Frog has had a great reception in the community since we opened in June of 2008. People enjoy coming in and relaxing, making gifts with that personal touch for the family or just something for themselves. They come in with friends and relax or have a girls night out. Single fathers have something to do with the kids, when its their weekend. Ladies have a chance to get out of the house and enjoy the company of others for classes, having fun and learning at the same time. Kids get the chance to make presents for their parents and grand parents. We have one who is working her way through the family including cousins, aunts and uncles. Its really fun to see people having a good time and enjoying themselves. It's great that Blue Frog Arts is able to offer everyone who wants the same chance to have fun and relax with art. Directions:
From Athens Ga come down Hwy 17 until you hit College St. which Turns into Elbert St. Keep Going until you get to McDonalds. Take a right on to Martin Luther King then take your first left onto Elbert Street. We are the 4th building on the left. If you pass the Library, you've gone too far, or if you come back out at Heard St. Turn around and come back or turn left and then another left at McDonalds and just start over.
From Washington GA. come up 17 until you start to get into Elberton. Pass Walmart and Hunan Restaurant (by the way a great place to eat). Keep going on down the 5 lane Elbert St. until you see a Golden Pantry on your left at a light. This is Heard St., take a left and we are the 4th Building on the right just pass the Library. Look for the sign.
